 Bois Metal Ligature?
Author: Ben Shaffer

Quick question... like most people on this Board, I've got a bunch of Ligatures. That said my go to Ligature seems to be the Bois plastic Model.
It makes my Clarinet sound nice and is quick and easy to put on.
So I'm intrigued by the Bois Metal Model, which I don't have.
Has anyone tried it?
If so does it sound about the same, better or worse than the Plastic Model?
If it sounds different, how so?
The metal model seems a bit pricey, which has made me reluctant to pick one heretofore
I currently play a #2 Legere Reed

The irony seems inescapable that, bois meaning wood in French, these are a Wood metal ligature and a Wood plastic ligature. I suppose Bois is the name of the person who developed its design?
