I have searched and found many threads, but really very little cohesive information. Most of the threads were quite old, so I am wondering if anything more has been gathered on these.
I just got one in the k3000 range. It has the brevete stamp. It has 7-rings, articulated c#/G#, the extra pad and hole under the Eb key, metal ring at the top of the upper joint that does not extend into the bore, and partway metal lined lower joint. The original barrel has been replaced with a Backun one.
Is there anything "new" known about this model?

The bell looks like a late R series bell around R9900 found on late Centered toned and early Series 9.
