 New York Counterpoint, III, Bass

Hi BBoard,

Long time no post! I need help making sense of the 3rd movement of Reich's New York Counterpoint, the 2 bass parts.

Over the course of 2 4-hour sessions in 1 day, I recorded everything in the studio, and we were left with the 2 bass parts in the 3rd movement before everything was down and ready to be edited/mixed. Mentally and physically exhausted, I just couldn't do it, I decided I was wasting both our time (me & the studio tech) and we set another 2-hour slot this Friday morning.

However I still can't make sense of it and I'm worried I'm going to be wasting even more time while making myself look completely amateurish!

Has anyone recorded this and how do you approach this? I'm tearing my hair out!
