Does anyone have instructions, preferably illustrated, of how to remove (and replace) the keys on a Vito low Eb bass clarinet ? I am comfortable stripping a soprano clarinet, but I fear that if I strip my bass, I may have enough parts left over, after attempted reassembly, to build a second one ! Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

take pictures with your mobile phone during disassembly. Re-assemble in reverse direction.

Spread a beach towel over your worktable to stop screws and small parts from rolling around. Some people also tuck a towel into their waistband and under the beach towel to catch anything that does roll or bounce off.
Lay the keys in an "exploded" view as you remove them. Put the screws and rods back in the posts to keep them from getting mixed up.
If you do drop something, lay a flashlight horizontally on the floor to make the part cast a shadow.
To pick up a small object, put a nylon stocking over the end of a vacuum cleaner tube.

A round magnet on the end of a telescoping rod is one of my most used tools....
