Hello,
I own a set of the Yamaha CSGII clarinets with the E/F pitch mechanism. I've had them for three years (they have only been available for three years). They play beautifully and have a dark sound, which I frequently get compliments for in master classes. However, I have recently wanted to try more clarinets. I currently enjoy these but I would like to see if there is anything else out there that may be better for me. I would like to try more Bb clarinets, possibly more CSGIIs and some Buffet clarinets (R13, Festival, and Prestige).
Is there a place that I could possibly try clarinets and trade in my clarinet if I find one better? I know it is tough to find places that will accept Yamaha clarinets for trade, but maybe you guys can help me!
Thanks in advance!
Ancil C.

Ancil, I respectfully suggest that you take up this subject with your clarinet instructors at CNU. They're likely in a position to offer you better guidance than what we can here on the BBoard.
Best Regards,
Greg
