Some Good Bass/Contra Playing

The Silverwood Clarinet Choir plays Sean O'Boyle's Waltz of Madness at https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=763877830308277. There's some really strong bass an contra playing. The other players are pretty good, too, though the Eb player has unfortunate intonation problems.

A rather boring composition of basically one melodic idea presented over and over again. Entire ensemble sounded as if sight reading--many more serious problems than just the effer playing a little out of tune. Sorry to be the clarinet "Grinch" but that's the way my ears heard this.

I'd have to agree with William - it seemed to be stuck on one motif.

I agree with William too. The piece is a bore and the intonation in the entire group was terrible. Not only wasn't I impressed with the basses but I found their tones spread and very out of tune. Sorry about having to be honest.
