When Ricardo played with NYPO, he was playing on a newly designed MOBA Mouthpiece that's non rubber.
Wasn't Wooden, so what other materials could it have been? (I highly doubt crystal, plastic).
They will be available in January.

I've seen a ceramic mouthpiece (with a chocolate brown baked enamel exterior coating) out there that touts being porous so that a good percentage of the condensation literally wicks away. The facings on this brand were "ok" but I'd look forward to someone like Morrie or Greg Smith trying out this material.

Oh GREAT--another new widget thingie MSO that all of us will have to have because someone well-known was seen--& heard, apparently--playing on one. As if playing a Larry Combs "mso" ever made *anyone* sound like LC--LOL. But I can just feel another overly expensive g.a.s. attack com'n my way......ARRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is an interesting paper on mouthpiece materials at:

Wurlitzer produces fine acrylic mouthpieces, so that may be a candidate.
I've wondered if carbon-graphite might be a potential material considering that its acoustic properties have been exploited in string instruments (see http://www.luisandclark.com/). While the stiffness would be unmatched, I'm not sure that it would have enough weight/density for a good mouthpiece though.

the "Vari-lay" mouthpiece...
An acrylic blank, like Wurlitzer, with a metal table/side/tip-rails facing that is clipped on. This was you can have several different interchangeable facings for the one mouthpiece, and if you need to you can swap over in the middle of performances etc

Probably Kryptonite. Very difficult to work on, needs special tools only available in a galaxy far, far from here.
