Hi,
I am considering the purchase of a used Selmer 65 bass clarinet. In good regulation, cleaned, new pads, no condition issues.
What should I expect to pay?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob, I'm unfamiliar with a Selmer 65 B C, mine is a good Model 33 [low Eb] dating from the 1960's , and I have played a newer bass Model 37 [to low C]. Perhaps this 65 is much newer, is it a pro or student model? A bit of looking on auction sites and Sel's ad's should help. Luck welcome to our B C -playing group , Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

This Selmer Paris model 65 is the latest Selmer professional model bass clarinet. I have played both the 65 and the low c 67 and find that the 65 tends not to be as resonant in the low register. The new 65 sells in the $8,000.00. I would purchase a low c 67 given the choice.
