I've searched the Internet and the archives of this board to learn more about the Altieri bags. The Altieri site has a sketch of the inside of the single clarinet bag.
Does anyone here have a picture of the inside of one of these bags? My urge for a new clarinet has calmed a bit so I'm thinking of something better than the ProTec messenger bag I use for my Buffet case.
In one of the old posts I found about the Altieri bag, a member said he didn't like the way the backpack straps fit on him. Anyone had issues with that?

Alas, I don't have a photo to send. The inside of my bag, which I use with a shoulder strap is a soft, insulated quilting (white) and has a sturdy cord you that encircles the case and can be tightened to keep it from shifting.
It's quite roomy, with two outside zip pockets. Last time I looked, the Web site was still a bit unhelpful on images. Perhaps a retailer's Web site has something better?

I have the same white interior on my cover that I have had for 15 years and it still is holding up great. I was in Denver when I got it and took my case to them for exact measurements. I strongly endores these covers.

They are good bags. Had a bag for my set of leblanc opus clarinets. Worked great, backpack straps were a big +. Then I sold my set of instruments as they weren't getting used enough and I felt bad having good instruments that weren't getting used.
Now I have one that my unit ordered. And it's survived one deployment in Baghdad already, and working VERY well through this second deployment.
On the flipside my "GigPac" bag which held my clarinet and music, is now very torn up. Didn't handle deployment, trucks, milvans and the general army abuse as well as the altieri has.

I love the backpack straps. It makes long walks from parking lots to rehearsal spaces with my double case much more pleasant! Plus, my music and accessories fit into the exterior pocket, so I don't have to carry another bag.

As far as the way the backpack straps fit, my old bag wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world. HOWEVER, it's STILL more comfortable than carrying it or a shoulder strap for longer distances/times.
