How do I get rid of it? I assume the pads and corks will have to go but how do I get it off the body?

If it's plastic, you can just wipe it off. Maybe a small toothbrush (dry) for the inside.

When you clean the clarinet, it's also a good idea to wash out and then rinse the inside of the case, then dry it open to sunlight, before you put the clarinet back in. Even if the case isn't visibly mildewed, it's full of spores.

If you feel up to it just remove all the keys and dunk the bodies in mildly warm water with some washing-up liquid. Scrub the outside with a toothbrush, the toneholes with a small brush or kitchen roll wrapped around small stick and the bore with a bottle brush, rinse and dry.
