Has anyone played the part for Eb, Bb and bass clarinet?
What is the bass clarinet part like for difficulty and range?

Hi Clarinat (interesting spelling?)
I have played PHANTOM on Broadway here in NYC a few hundred times, and it's not easy. There are tour books for the show all over the world, so get your Clarinet book ASAP.
There are a few tricky high Eb solos, one is "on cue" from the conductor, so be alert at all times. The Bass is tricky also because it has some difficult low & fast passages, so take a careful look. Some of the Bb parts are exposed solos, so they'll need to be looked at before you go into your first rehearsal.
As always, do your homework, have all 3 horns in perfect shape, get all your reeds working, and listen to the OCR, which is available almost everywhere.
This famous show has been running on Broadway for over 20 years! Everyone knows it out there, so you must prepare and be ready to thrill a whole new audience of Theater-goers...good luck!

I had the pleasure of bringing my parents to see the Phantom in NY for their anniversary last year in July. I absolutely loved the clarinet sound, assuming it was you! I was wondering if you would share with us the make and model of Bb clarinet mouthpiece that you use. Thanks so much.
