How do you identify an older model?

the older models have a different logo at the front of the mouthpiece, with a nice signature of his written across the mouthpiece of larry combs, these are known to be the really consistently made ones. the combs now are inconsistant from what i've heard

I agree with comment above- I have 3 LC3's- they are all somewhat different and appear to be made on different blanks. I like the oldest one best and had Fred Rast copy the facing to the other two, which now play pretty close to the first one.

I have an LC2 and an LC3 and both play well for me. Both have the cursive signature.
