Has anyone heard of "Old Craftsman" Clarinet? I have one and need to know if it is of any value. A friend gave it to me in the 80's to use. She has had the clainet in her family for many years.

"Craftsman" is a marketing name used by Sears Roebuck for many years mainly for tools. They successfully marketed various musical instruments years ago...so...I wonder if this could be a Sears item.

You are likely correct, Bob D, I saw/worked-on? an Old Cr years ago, don't recall much, other than it was a "standard" 17/6, possibly a FR import in the '50's or made by one of our earlier US makers for inexpensive sale. Don

Thank you everyone. This is very helpful. I've hadn't had any problems with it, except replacing the pads once before.
