 Dad's old clarinet
Author: columbus

My dad has an old clarinet and I would like some info on it. Here's whats on it:

Bell: "Yourdain"
Upper Barrel: serial #1549
Lower Barrel: serial #1549 made in germany

It's made of wood, but I have no idea what kind.

Does anyone know anything about this clarinet?

Alfred Jourdian?

I've got one Jourdian currently (and had a few previously, one of which was a bass clarinet) but all were made in France. If yours is spelled as you wrote it, then I have no idea what it is.

Yeah, it's spelled with a y- which also confused me, since i know Jourdain is a French name, but it says it's made in Germany.
