Hi, My husband's childhood clarinet, bought new in approximately 1984 is a LeBlanc L27 (with the mother of pearl inlay).
BUT
It has a serial number of 60000, and I can only find reference to serial numbers going up to 57480 (though the date of that is right for the time of purchase). The serial number is the same on two parts, so I don't think it is a rogue part switched in from another clarinet.
Is this just a glitch? A typo? Or is this not an L27 at all?
Any help gratefully received. Googling isn't useful.

The logos on our clarinet are engraved, and I have a picture of my husband in infant school playing it ( ;-) ), so the date is definitely 1984 or earlier. Il'll try to take a photo when the light is better.
