www.buffet-crampon.com has changed, and it looks much nicer. Unfortunately, they no longer have the serial number look-up :(.
My Setup:
R13 Clarinet (Ridenour Lyrique as my backup/marching instrument)
Walter Grabner K11 mouthpiece
Rico Reserve 3.5's
Bonade ligature

Man, you'd think a company known for the tone quality of their instruments would at least have a decent-sounding recording of the Copland. Very bad compression.

Horrendous. You can hear clacking of keys. Yuck
And what happened to the movie that shows how they crank em out?

That is a really awfull recording. Couldn't they have gotten Goodman or Drucker or something. It was played too fast, tone was hit and miss, shrill up high keys were VERY audible. I think thats the absolute worst I have ever heard Copland.

Stop making that noise - my ears are bleeding!
Anyone want to hazard a guess as who's murdering that piece? I thought it was probably [mentioning no name] but they don't endorse/play Buffets.

Perhaps buffet somehow managed to penetrate my practice room.

I keep forgetting to get a copy of the Copeland concerto.
I've read the comments about Benny Goodman's recording in the archives, and I still find it strange that he played the 'jazz' bit with straight quavers - strange being that he's 'the King of Swing' isn't it?

The clarinet "player" on that site sounds a little like David Shiffrin.... a little. I thought at first it might be him, but that HUGE key click in the beginning is not something I imagine would ever come from Mr. Shiffrin.
My biggest complaint about the site besides the music is that they offer only small pics of the instruments.
