This is simply to thank the bulletin board community for one very fruitful year. I think my first posts dates back from 2001 and I have been reading and writing on this almost daily. However, this past year has been especially interesting for me as I can honestly say that my playing has changed due to this board.
Through different postings, I have learned about breath control, support, tonguing techniques, differences between double and single lip, embouchure and of course mouthpieces and reeds. A lot of what I read here I tried at home and I am happy to report it has improved my playing.
I need to send a special thank you to Mr. Pay who has given me a lot of things to think about and provided unique insights into what it takes to not only be a clarinet player but also a musician and a teacher. It has been humbling and incredibly rewarding at the same time.
So thank you all.
