 Playing with a finger injury
Author: JTJC

On the BB recently there have been a couple of questions about playing with leaks from keys and hand position causing leaks.

On this video, Martin Frost is playing the Mozart concerto with a dressing, possibly a splint on his right-hand middle finger.

Has anyone else had to try playing like this, and with success, as in this video? What sort of material might be used to cover the tone hole?

I have played with a band aid over my finger tips (more than once)- some sealed better than others but it is possible to get a good seal. The smooth ones sealed better than textured fabric.
