 Clarinet In D
Author: clarinetplayer21

Recently I have acquired an Albert system In D (Yes, D NOT Eb) While I think this is a very nice instrument, I think a collector or more professional Eb/D player would give it a better home than me.

All joints are marked “HP D” including Bell and barrel. But no serial number or other markings to indicate manufacturer are present. I don’t play much Albert system. But was only able to get the upper register out Upper B-lower D and I will say that a D sounds much more tame than Any Eb I have played. Also included is a metal ligature and cap and what appears to be the original mouthpiece. Made of wood. I have not played it so I cannot say how well it plays. Most of not all pads need replacing (especially the lower-most ones) along with some new cork. The lower bell ring is loose. And there is a small crack in the barrel. (As far as I can tell, it doesn’t seem to go through the bore but am not 100%) This is a very nice instrument. I would keep it if I had a real use for it.

Asking around $200 though open to offers as I’m not sure what this type of clarinet would go for.
