I have 3 vintage Sumner clarinet mouthpieces. Sumner was noted for his high quality rubber blanks that were sold under his name, but were also used by other makers. I have been told by some noted mouthpiece experts that they were top quality rod rubber and every bit as good as a Kaspar. I would agree that they are Kaspar like in tone quality and in the focus, projection and warmth. All of these have excellent facings and are in excellent condition.

These would be an excellent mouthpiece for any level of player. Note- in the pics, one had tape on the tenon, but since that pic the cork has been replaced
