As I am now retired (well..mainly), it’s finally time that I divest myself of equipment and accessories that I have laying around my studio - much of it at greatly reduced prices! Many of these items have never been used and have all been selected by me personally.
Clarinet
-Buffet R-13 E-flat clarinet. This is a used instrument that I played on for several years in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. It is a fantastic instrument, very well-maintained (as I trust you would believe) and serviced regularly over the years by Bill Brannen and Tim Clark. Asking $3,000.00. SOLD!
Barrels
-Buffet: I have five “stock” Buffet R-13 barrels(2@65mm, 2@66mm, 1@67mm). These, of course, are not new but are all in excellent condition. For those who are looking for alternate barrel lengths or would like to experiment and rebore barrels, here’s an inexpensive opportunity for you! These barrels sell for over $300.00 new - you can have these for $50.00 apiece!
-Backun: 2 65mm cocobolo w/grenadilla rings, 1 66mm cocobolo (SOLD!), 1 66mm grenadilla, 1 67mm cocobolo (SOLD!), 1 grenadilla E-flat barrel 42.4mm. Asking $100.00 apiece. All in like new condition.
Bells
-Backun: 3 cocobolo bells (one with a grenadilla ring). While I originally purchased one for the B-flat and two for the A, they are easily interchangeable. $200.00 apiece. (Two of these have been SOLD!)
-Also, two Backun E-flat clarinet bells (cocobolo w/grenadilla ring). Also $200.00 apiece.
Mouthpieces
-Charles Chedeville clarinet mouthpiece (used, but in excellent condition) - $500.00 obo
-Gregory Smith Chicago Kaspar clarinet mouthpiece #283 (new) - $300.00
-Gregory Smith Cocobolo clarinet mouthpiece #A193 (near new) - $300.00
-Vandoren BD5 E-flat clarinet mouthpieces (2) - $90.00 apiece
-Vandoren M30 E-flat clarinet mouthpiece - $85.00
(These Vandoren mouthpieces are brand new except for the play-testing)
Case & Case Cover
-Protec Double Clarinet Micro Zip Case with Custom-made Altieri Case Cover - both of these are brand new and unused. I am selling this as I simply decided to use a different case. You can view several pics of the case at the Protec web site. The custom-made and fitted Altieri case cover has large pockets in front and back with smaller interior pockets inside those (for reeds and supplies). Both the case and case cover come with interchangeable shoulder straps. My cost for these items was $530.00 but I will listen to any reasonable offer. These items are to be sold together only. Shipping within the USA included.
Ligatures
-Bonade E-flat Clarinet inverted ligature - 2@$12.00 NEW!
-Bonade E-flat Clarinet ligature (non-inverted) - 1@$12.00 NEW!
-AK Gold Clarinet Ligature w/extra plates (silver, etc.) and screws (to accommodate both cane and the thinner Legere-type reeds) - $200.00 like new!
-Frank Kaspar B-flat Clarinet inverted ligature “Superb” - I’m pretty sure that this ligature is made of unfinished brass (as opposed to the heavier German silver) but I’m not sure. If interested, I would be more than glad to send photos (this goes for anything in this ad, btw). Any respectable offer will be considered for this rarest of ligatures.
Reeds
--Danzi D2 Clarinet Reeds: one (unopened) box each of 3 1/2+ and 4. These retail for $35.00/box (if you can find them!) - I’m selling them for $20.00 apiece.
Reed Storage
-Vandoren Reed Case (for 8 reeds) - I have 6 of these looking for a new home. They currently retail for over $30.00 - I am asking $15.00 apiece! (two of these SOLD! 4 still available)
-Protec Reed Cases (2) (each holds twelve reeds - ideal for Eb clarinet reeds) $10.00 NEW! Both for $15.00! (SOLD!)
