Selling a lightly used Kessler low C bass clarinet in excellent condition. It was purchased two years ago from Michael Lowenstern, with his pro setup, a $3,050 value new (and currently sold out).
It also includes some extras purchased separately, including a Kessler Custom Bass Clarinet Heavy Mass Design Neck in lacquer finish ($259), which ensures the vibration comes from the instruments body, resulting in a richer and warmer timbre similar to a wooden horn; as well as a Pereira 3D printed bass clarinet neckpiece in blackwood ((120), which adds superior resonance and response to the horn. It will also include a Vito Bass clarinet mouthpiece and BG standard ligature – everything needed to start playing right away.
Kessler Custom bass clarinets are made of resonite with nickel-plated keys, and are highly regarded entry-level clarinets by students and professionals alike. With the low C this instrument can play any music you need it to. This horn was played professionally in pit orchestra work as well as in concert bands and orchestras, and features an even scale with excellent intonation. It has just been fully reconditioned by Capitol Woodwind Services and is ready for a new owner.
$1,900, plus shipping, or local pickup in the greater Baltimore/D.C. area. PayPal, Venmo or cash (if picking up in person) only.
