Greetings all!
I have a friend who loves Itzhak Perlman. He told me about a CD that Perlman recorded years ago that I would like to get him as a present. I am having alot trouble tracking it down though. The one he wants has all traditional Klezmer tunes however it is not the "Fiddler..." editions. Is there a list of all recordings put out by Perlman. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am interested in your opinions about Perlman's playing. Thanks!

There was one called "Tradition" which was recently re-issued by EMI. I'm afraid I don't have the number, but I know that this cd included many Jewish/Klezmer/Israeli tunes.

There is also music from the "In The Fiddlers' House" tour & video. This was a PBS production, and there was also a national tour with Klezmatics, Bravie Old World, Klezmer Conservatory, and I don't know who else. Two CD's - one live, one a studio recording.
