i am beginning to play klezmer (actually i have a rehearsal in 2 hours !).

Noticed much of my music - in key of D contains several high F#'s !

Can anyone provide me with guidance on this high note - thanks !

Jeff,

Do some homework on alternate fingerings.

The "long" F# fingering is probably the best for tone and ease of intonation.

[Eb key]

[hope this impromptu tabliture is not too confusing]

Good luck

Try overblowing a B flat above the stave.
