The cost can tell you a little about the flute you are going to buy. For example; a cheap $300 flute is so low for a reason, it might of been built with cheaper materials making it have poor tone quality and harder to tune, and the opposite for costly ones. Their are good flutes for less amounts out there. But your right open holed, and B foot could add to the price quiet abit. My best advice would be to shop around(in your price range), and make sure you try it before you buy it!
