Michael keep us posted. I've done Pirates 3 times, and I have only played the D'Oyly Carte version. It was written for Bb and A clarinet w/ the A going down to low E in Cl II, I don't remember if Cl I goes down that low. So it is quite possible that the Bb part could call for an Eb.

And any excuse to pick up a Bass Cl is a good one to me. ;o)
