I use a set 0f 1010s and liked some of the Edgware's which are named after the road of one of the factories Boosey had in London...they were a student model wood but with thin walls which unsettled me a good deal....In Great Britian they were a school student model and many players had good success learning on them, but when I started back in the late 40s I used a Clinton reform boehm until my uncle wanted it back. It was very nice in spite of some awkwardness with the wide spaces in the left hand. I believe Thurston and Draper used these in the 20s and 30s and of course they were very well in tune...finally I went to study med in Univeristy of London and got my degree quite a bit later but manged in the 60s to return to playing for fun with a set of 1010s picked out for me by a london orchestral player....the Edgware was pretty good and if you want to try that open sound, it is worth investingating....Thurston played on a large bore Booseys at the end, but had a focus more american like than the average brit player of those days! ,
