I'm thinking about purchasing a used Yamaha CX clarinet but I'm not sure what a fair value might be. There have been so many Yamaha models over the years that it's difficult to navigate. It sounds like the CX is a newer version of the YCL-72?
What I know: It's a private seller but they are not the original owner. The clarinet doesn't appear to be heavily used. It doesn't have the "custom" name on the horn, it's simply a CX. It's been disassembled, cleaned, pads/corks replaced as necessary, fine tuned, the whole shebang.

Any swags on what a "fair" price might be? More than or less than $1k?
I know putting a price on a horn is difficult with such limited information, but I'd appreciate any input from those more knowledgeable than me, which is everybody
Edit: since I'm here, this clarinet is for an advanced high school student who plays in band and orchestra. He will definitely continue playing in college even if it isn't his major. This would replace his Vito. Assuming he can test it out and likes it, I assume this would be a good choice for him?
