Hi, I've just bought a vintage LeBlanc LL clarinet. On the bell, however, there appears to be another stamp. It's incomplete and hardly readable... anyone recognizes this?

Maybe from the Markneukirchen area in Germany. But I didn't find anything on it.

Concerning the „Hopf“- brand: Till now I didn't know a „Hopf“- clarinet. Student level Recorders of that brand were quite common and are still offered by Thomann. I don't know where they are made today.

Gabi's virtual „Blockflötenmuseum“ has some information about Hopf ( https://www.blockfloeten-museum.de/blockfloetenbauer/in-neuer-zeit/hopf-1.html ):

1669 taucht der Name Hopf zum ersten Mal als Instrumentenbauer auf. Sie lebten im Raum Klingenthal/Markneukirchen. Der Brandstempel HOPF wurde von Caspar Hopf II (1677-1711) eingeführt.
The name Hopf as instrument makers first appears in.. Markneukirchen 1669

1948 Umsiedlung der Firma „Willy Hopf & Co“ nach Taunusstein.
Herstellung von Saiten, Holzblas- und Saiteninstrumenten.
Resettled to Taunusstein, West Germany. Fabrication of strings, woodwind and string instruments. (Recorders marked with a hoopoe, in German „Wiedehopf“).

1981 gründete Dieter J. Hopf die Firma DIETER HOPF GITARREN-ATELIER
(Still active with high level guitars).

Die Flötenwerkstatt wurde an den damaligen Werkstattleiter Peter Kobliczek abgegeben.
Successor for the recorder workshop was Peter Kobliczek (today Christoph Hammann).
