 Busque vs Busk

In the coming months I will be writing this word quite often in both musical and political contexts. Until yesterday I believed the correct spelling was busque. After seeing busk a few times I felt like an idiot.Online dictionaries spell and define busk as street performing beggar. They point out that busk is a 19th century anglicisation of the Spanish word busque which means to seek, to search and to enquire.
As a busquer I will be giving away my handîcrafts because I am not licensed to sell. My motivations are are far more sociopolitical than economic.I wiil have signage and pamphlets addressing a variety of issues behind me as I play my clarinet. My primary goals are to bring a musical artistic presence to public life while seeking allies to address social concerns. In light of the above I am more comfortable with busque than busk .
Perception is the essence of reality. Would a well educated reader recognize busquer as a seeker engaged in a quest or would they assume an idiots spelling error ?

Thank you for the positive affirmation. I had not considered the coflicting spellings from the standpoint of conjugation. Conjugating busk to busque elevates an often derogatory verb to one of higher refinement and culture.
