 New Mozart Edition from Schott
Author: Klose 2017
Date:   2015-10-15 06:55

Hi all,

I am so glad that I recently bought this new edition of Mozart concerto from Schott (published this year, edited by Sabine Meyer & Reiner Wehle). For the first time, this edition provides a new normal A clarinet part which can represent the basset part much better than the original quickly modified version. Also, this edition gives detailed editorial suggestions of articulation and dynamics for the whole piece, which are based on the years of performance and teaching experience from the editors.

For the renowned soloists, maybe this is not so useful as they all have their own interpretations, but for others, like students, this is really something I have been waiting so long.

Thank you for alerting us to this new edition! (As an amateur who never plays in public, I've probably got no business working on a concerto, but who can resist the Mozart?)
