 Help identifying buffet clarinet

Hi, I have a clarinet stamped Evette in an oval, buffet crampon written underneath. The body has a wooden grain but the inside feels smooth. Serial is 228667. Great condition. Just wondering whether it is wooden and an idea of its age.

It's basically the same instrument as the early Buffet E11 which it became rebranded as in the mid '80s.

These clarinets were made by Schreiber for Buffet to fill the gap in their lineup (along with the plastic bodied B12 which was also stamped Evette, then B&H Regent II before becoming the B12).

I have a similar question (Chris P.). A friend donated a clarinet for a very talented student. It's identification includes: Crampon and Cie A Paris Evette and Scaefer "The Sweetest Clarinet Ever Made" and Master Model. Serial # K5905.

The E&S Master Model became either the E13 or the C12.

I hope it's okay I ask in this thread as well.

I'm looking at a used buffet clarinet serial number 204702 - there seems to be confusing about whether it's a BC or RC - can you help me?
And where do you find this information? I've tried google with no luck.

Does it say 'Made in France' under all the Buffet logos stamped on every joint?

If there's no model name or number stamped on the top joint, it's most likely an R13. All other Buffet clarinets carry the model name/number between the top joint logo and the throat A tonehole.

Pro level Buffets from the R13/RC upwards have cut-outs on the lower joint underneath the RH little finger touchpieces to make sufficient clearance for the RH F#/C# and E/B touchpieces and the crow's foot on the F/C key so they don't clatter against the body.

Thank you so much for your help!

I hope it's okay I ask another question, even if this isn't my thread.
What would you pay for a clarinet like that? I haven't tried it yet. The seller has had it for 10 years without doing anything to it and hasn't played it a lot.
I haven't tried it yet, but he says it's "okay". I'll ask him what that means.

But in general - if I buy it, what would be a reasonable price?

Thanks for answering so fast and everything!
