 Antique Clarinet

My brother-in-law gave me a clarinet and I'd like to figure out the maker and value. There are markings on the mouthpiece are a five-pointed star with rays and there is an emblem that looks like CP. The same CP is inside a dotted star on one of the barrel joints. France is also stamped on that barrel joint. The other barrel joint is stamped C1885. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Pictures would help in the identification process.
