All you need is a Makita, a few drill bits, a measuring stick, and a funnel! I hope this brings you a big smile on the Fourth of July!!!

A band that I play with does a lot of work in schools, and I always make up a carrot clarinet for those jobs. We do garden hose brass as well. Goes down well with the kids.

On BBoards, I've learned it's NOT about the ligature. From postings about the awful shape that reeds of junior and senior high kids are in. And from these two youtube videos that have been posted, it's not about the clarinet...I guess that means it's all about the MPC!!! The Aussie who made these videos is most entertaining. Must be an Aussie thing, huh Tony?

I did the watering can clarinet and garden hose French horn as a duet for a recent church talent show. I had a terrible time getting the holes spaced to play anywhere close to in tune, and could only get five notes of a scale. Then again, it really wasn't about playing in tune, but about being silly. The audience lapped it up.
