I've had two of the older BAM Trekking cases for two clarinets, both are in the hands of students now. I was looking for something lighter and more compact, and was pleasantly surprised to see a new model from BAM. It has the "carbon fiber look" shell that is from their very popular models for violin, viola, and cello.
I ordered it from Weiner and it shipped free, arrived today. It's a great little double case, and the expandable front pocket is exactly what I needed. The BAM really is quite small, about the same size as the Protec single carry-all case. However, all the pieces are stored separately, including the lower joints/bells. The integrated backpack straps are very nice, although the one thing that detracts from the design is the lack of any attachments for a single shoulder strap.
Now, I have two Yamaha CSG clarinets so the top joint isn't standard length. I'm happy to report that the interior is just flexible enough to fit them perfectly. With the tiny amount of remaining space I'm still able to fit two mouthpieces, cleaning swab, cork grease, and screwdriver.
