Which should i choose, i have solo and ensemble coming up and i don't know which piece to play... whatever shall i do?

Do you get to do one movement only? Neilson would be tough to cut. Are you bringing your own snare drum?  :)

If you can do it, Spohr 2nd Concerto, 2nd or third movement would be good. That 2nd is so lyrical. Third movement is mostly pyrotechnics, a whirlwind. But it's wonderful. Can you tongue those sextuplets at tempo? If you can, I congratulate you.

Spohr is great. I like the third movement, but the second is wonderful, and the first is beautiful (lyrical and all, too. Just faster ;-)).
