Not exactly about clarinet but since I'll connect a clarinet to them... maybe someone will know.
I want to connect my clarinet mic or pickup (i.e. I'll sometimes use a mic and sometimes a pickup for this) to two effect pedal, but they have to be parallel and not in a chain, so the output from one doesn't go to the other. I need to send the signal from the pickup/mic to two different inputs.
Someone suggested a simple PL cable "devider" (not sure of the name in English) might work, but explained some potential problems. I rather keep it to absolutely the smallest size necessary so a small mixer (which will work) is a very bad option. I know there are some guitar pedals/boxes that send a signal to different amps, not sure how that would work for a clarinet mic/pickup. If I have to use something bigger than a simple "devider" I guess my best option is have someone here build a small preamp that can do what I need.
Also, when there's no problem (most of the time) I can connect from the two pedals to two inputs on the console. If I want to connect everything to one input on the console, can I use one of those simple "deviders" to "undevide" the signals...?

Perhaps you could explain this a bit better. If you have two devices (a mike and a pickup) and two inputs (two different pedals) what needs dividing or combining?
Or is it that you want to send one device - a mike, e.g., to two different pedals at the same time? Then all you need is a 'Y' connector - 1 input in, 2 outputs out. (Here's are pictures of some Y connectors (both electrical and otherwise http://tinyurl.com/3go5nyj
To combine the outputs of the pedals into a recorder or 'console', if you don't need to do any anything about the relative strength of the pedals, a 'Y' connector once again is all you need.
Also keep in mind that the pedals may require a higher("louder") input than the mic/pickup provide, in which case the mic/pickup may need a preamp(s?) before going into the pedals.

I speak as almost-a-physicist-once, not as a very amateur alto clarinet honker:
A single effects pedal should route the signal either through or past the effects circuitry. When you connect two pedals in parallel, whichever one is turned on is still in parallel with the wires bypassing the one that is off.
There are four solutions I can see: first, Y-cable the inputs but have the outputs go to separate amp inputs that can be turned off; second, use a switch as you have suggested; third, wire one pedal into the bypass circuit of the other; and fourth, connect them in series but only engage one or the other at any given time. If solution four doesn't work, then the assumption I made about signal routing is false and solution three is likewise suspect.

The Y connector is what I meant by "devider" (didn't know the name in English). This is what someone suggested to try but with possible issues.
That switch box seems to do it but if I'm getting something bigger than a regular Y connector I rather it has a decent preamp too I guess.

Yes, that's what I meant by "or".
Alto gether, re your suggestions:
1st, might work, I have to try (though I might prefer to have a preamp regardless).
2nd, I'm not sure what switch I suggested, I don't think I did.
3rd, I'm not sure if either of the pedals has that, I think they don't.
4th, Won't work because they both have to be on all the time.
