 Clarinet Sonata by Shaw?

http://www.mmea-maryland.org/html/music_list.php

If you go there and search for composer "Shaw", it should bring you to a small list of pieces - one of them (near the end of the list) is titled "Sonata" by Shaw, grade 6. If you click more info, not much more information is given.

My question is, what is this piece? Is it a sonata by the late great Artie Shaw? Is it the website's stupid way of titling a concerto? Or is it by a more obscure composer, also with the last name Shaw?

I come to the BBoard again for help on identifying this mystery piece.

It's a Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Christopher Shaw, a British composer.

Having performed Artie's "Concerto for Clarinet" many times with local wind ensembles in recent years, this posting immediantly caught my eye. But a big thanks, MRN, for your research. You saved me from running to our music store to order a copy of Shaw's "Sonata".

Thanks. Yeah, it caught my eye for the same reason.

I've never performed Artie's Concerto before, but I've heard it and enjoyed it many times.
