 old wooden clarinet

I have to admit that I am not much of a clarinet player, I play the sax. However, I found a very interesting old clarinet. The woman that is selling it wants $75 for it. It is a wooden B flat clarinet with a wooden mouthpiece. I can't remember exactly, but I believe that it is a M. Londeix. I swore that is what it was, but people are telling me that I must be mistaken, because they didn't make clarinets.
It seemed to be in pretty good shape, the only problem i noticed was the silver ring around the bottom of the clarinet was coming loose, and it needs some new corks.
I was just wondering if it sounds like this clarinet would be worth buying.
Thank you to anyone that may be able to help me.
