I am very new to the clarinet (two months) but wanted to play one since the mid seventies but got handed a euphonium instead, didn’t mind at all I made a great deal of noise when I was a kid ;)

Well I just bought from ebay a King Lemarie, I found some information about it but somehow my clarinet don’t quite fit the descriptions but is definitely a Lemarie, I wondered if you could tell me anything about it.
I can’t find any serial number on it at all, it’s made from hard rubber and has a metal lined upper joint but the mouthpiece looks plastic and has no markings other than ‘France and No5’ on it, I have photos of the instrument, mouthpeice and case and can email them if it helps.

Any information at all would be very nice to know, particularly interested in her age. And why every king Lemarie I have trawled the internet for is wooden, so why the hard rubber?

Kindest regards
Nico
