Hi Steve,

While I am a huge fan of vintage Buescher saxophones, I have only a limited knowledge about Buescher clarinets. Never played one. The thing that caught my attention with your message is wondering about the age of these clarinets. We know that Buescher was bought out by Selmer around 1963. With that in mind, if the Buescher clarinets were made before 1963 it would be difficult to see a direct Selmer connection. I've seen a number of vintage Buescher clarinets on ebay but I didn't feel a leading to pursue it. Somewhere along the line I got the understanding that Buescher clarinets were more of an intermediate level instrument than being a true pro level...in the league of their saxophones. But, I cannot confirm if that's true or not.

Roger
