 Re: Chedeville Sax Mouthpiece?

I just sold my 'other' Couesnon Monopole alto sax, so now I'm down to just one -- clearly I like the instruments --- I also have the original Couesnon mouthpiece which may or may not have been made from a Chedeville blank --- doesn't matter to me, it was WAY too close for anything but very quiet classical playing, I opened mine up considerably and keep it in case (heaven forbid) I should have to play alto sax in orchestra or concert band. As far as I can tell the saxophone community does not have the ridiculous fan worship syndrome for mouthpieces marked "Kaspar" or "Chedeville" that the clarinet community has. Instead, the sax players have an analogous absurd obsession with old brass Otto Link mouthpieces --- who knows why, most of them played like c**p.
The Monopole saxes of all sizes are relatively unknown and underrated in the US, but people are starting to catch on to them.
