Hi

i need some help in regards to tonguing. For the past ten years i have adopted the anchor tonguing style without really knowing it and nobody has really discouraged me from it. My new teacher however believes that i should change or at least become familiar with the tip to tip style, as it will give more control and shorter staccato. What i was wondering was if anyone else has change styles and how they did it, like exercises and stuff and how long it took them to change. At present i can do scales fairly slowly although at times the sound is unclear.

thanks in advance
