 Well then . . .

In response to my other post and your replies . . .

I guess I stand corrected. He was basically telling me bits and pieces and I kinda filled in the rest. Well, anyways, I think I have a decent piece-o-wood. Anyways, I bought myself a new mouthpiece about an hour ago and after a week or two hopefully I'll see a great change. I could see a definite change right away after trying a piece. I could play softer and it sounded . . . well, a little prettier (for lack of a better vocabulary). I hope to start clarinet lessons and I'm trying to "cheat" my way into free lessons at the college I'm at. I'm declaring music minor and hopefully I'll get those lessons I want so badly.

Thanks all. Also, I'm really interested in big band playing. What steps should I take? I saw this "Mel Bay's Jazz Clarinet" book on ebay and stuff. Worth it? I am very skeptical of these books. Lemme know. Thank you
