i had a problem with the key connector thing and i went to the music...store...department...whatever you call it. and this guy said that it was bented. he "unbent" it and it works fine--; asked him how much and he said that he didn't do anything so he won't charge anything.
i forgot to ask him about lessons tho.

Some free advice... Make a purchase or two at this store (something small is fine) to thank them and establish yourself as a customer.

Wait a second, you're going to let your sisters play? : It probably isn't a good idea to let your sisters play or there might be major problems. I tried to share too because my sibs also were interested in my clarinet. To make a long story short it didn't work out at all. If you're going to have everybody play it's probably better to buy them all clarinets. I realize that this isn't finacially practical but it would save some hair tearing.
Have fun. I enjoy your posts very much and hope you write more.
