There is an extraordinary clarinetist in the UK whose name is Roger Heaton. Recently i acquired some recordings of this fellow and man can he play the clarinet...he is also professor of clarinet in Darnstadt which is quite a position. what gives/ Why isn't he more popular...he can play anything!!!!

you could have all the talent in the world and still be unknown.it just depends on the people you talk to. like i just love,love,love fred astiare! but if you talk to people at my school not many have heard of him, go online and it's a whole different story:) i did not know who Mr. Heaton was till i saw ur add and checked him out online.i'm courious to know if he has a record out...could you let me know?

Clarinet Classics, and he is famous in the Uk and Europe.

I have a recording where he plays the basset horn parts in both of the mendelssohn Konzerstuck pieces again on clarinet classics

I've converesed with Roger a few times (through e-mail of course, phone calls frm Houston to England would be too expensive). He is professor at the University of Bath, England. That's where i've reached him before. He's a kind man and generous with his time. He's always prompt with getting back to me and always answers any questions i have.
