You couldn't have asked a better person (sorry if that sounds conceited). Get your Rubank Volume One out, this is the one I've been working in. I'm taking lessons on the contralto and bass clarinet, so I know what most of the duets sound like on these two different instruments.

Hopefully you'll both agree on one of these. I don't know how they are on high notes, but it gives a great effect (I think) if the lower clarinet plays the top line, but if the bass clarinetist is practically sight reading, they might be happier on the bottom line. Good luck!
