mariguax clairnet

I recently purchased a new, Mariguax clairnet for $600. (they were on sale. supposedly, it's worth $2800). I was trying to find information on it, and someone called it "exotic". what did he mean? can anyone give me any information on my clainet? Is it "exotic?"
