I am doing a report on the D clarinet and I am trying to find a score that has the D clarinet part listed to use as a visual. Does anybody know of a web site that I can get a page that shows it? Or does anybody have one that they would be willing to scan a page of and e-mail it to me?
I know this is not what this site is for, but I am at a loss of where to look and I was hoping you guys could help.
Thank you in advance,
Sara

Check out this web page:

It is a display of several pages of the score to Till Eulenspiegel. Although the resolution is a little fuzzy, you can see the notation on several of the pages for the D clarinet part.

I actually have a D clarinet. 12 keys, 2 rings a pre Baermann system from around 1860 to 1870. It is in full working order and has no pivot screws, rod screws or pin springs. The springs are the leaf type held in the keys with rivets and the rods do not have screw threads but are of the shepherds crook type similar to some bassoons. Cute little horn but not much use.
There is a concerto by J. M. Melchior Molter 1696- 1765 Clarinet Concert No. 3 Edition Schott number 10939 which was originally written for D Clarinet and has subsequently been transcribed for Bb Clarinet. It has one page of the original manuscript included with the piano accompaniment. Unfortunately I am a scanner free zone at the moment but you may be able to get hold of a copy using the above details. The edition number may also be S & Co. 6654. Hope this is of some help.

Actually, Mark, there are six concerti for D clarinet by Molter plus a fragment of yet another which was recently discovered.
To the contrary, I get a lot of use out of my D clarinet -- of course, it is a bit more recent than yours!

It's not really written for it, but I've heard of Poulenc's sonata for A and Bb clarinets being done on Eb and D. Sounds a little weird, but I'll allow for some artistic license.

Yes, but only if the performers can take the tempi up about 40% and wear chipmunk costumes. ;^)
