 Tonguing

Why is it so hard to tongue in the clarinet???? I've played the oboe and thought that it was really easy to tongue, same with the flute and the sax. So why is it so hard to tongue in the clarinet?????

I think it may have to do some with resistance as well as the fact that you have quite a bit of mouthpiece in your mouth, and the mouth is fairly open to accept it.
